We close out twenty-four hours 3 of CinemaCon with the Universal and Focus presentation where the former show footage from The Black Phone , Jurassic World : Dominion , and more .

Day three of CinemaCon , and we are here for another more in - depth recap of the presentation from the nighttime before . Thank you if you joined us for the liveblog of the presentation , and we hope you ’ll link up us for Paramount Pictures and Lionsgate today . mightily now , we have a massive panel from Universal Pictures and Focus Features to go over . This mail service is just Universal , and Focus Featuresis right hereif you ’d like to look at that . There was a lot to go over , so let ’s get into it . They did have a TV of theF9cast thanking everyone for making the movie hit and fail to take advantage of the chance to haveVin Dieselcall everyone FaMiLy . Missed opportunity if there ever was one . Oh , and Universal did have an executive show up which was the first time we ’ve seen one in person since MGM .

CinemaCon: Universal Debut New Jurassic World 3 Footage & More

So , first of all , the way the Universal demonstration was done was if a motion-picture show already has a lagger out , they just unblock an extended prevue . So we ’ll do our good to tell you about all the raw footage in these trailers , but it can be hard sometimes to remember what was in a trailer and what was n’t . First out of the logic gate for Universal wasSing 2 . The originalSingwas one of those low - cay hit that made over $ 600 million at the worldwide box function on $ 75 million budget . The continuation is coming out this December , and we got some more tale point about it . We very much desire that you care Bono music because he ’s in this pic and the dawdler was to a U2 call .

Next was the extended trailer forHalloween Kills . This is one of those extended cut trailers where it was a small concentrated to assure what footage was new and what was old because I ’m not our own Jeremy Konrad who watchedthe trailerabout a billion time . Universal and Blumhouse have allege this movie is come , and nothing is stopping it , so that ’s good for fans [ and Jeremy Konrad ] . The main thing this trailer have was some fresh footage of Laure ’s daughter and granddaughter being stone - cold-blooded badasses and a brief look at the return key of Tommy Doyle , the fry that Laurie babysat in the original moving picture .

Next was one of the first look entry of the presentation . We have a new horror movie channelize byScott Derricksonbased on a unretentive level byJoe HillwithEthan Hawkestarring . Hawke has articulate that he had a thing about not playing bad Guy but made an exclusion for this movie and play " darkness itself . " He is a serial orca who kidnap kids and position them in a room with a fatal phone that does n’t work . However , this latest nestling starts to get phone calls from the victim of the Orcinus orca . They are learn him how to escape . Meanwhile , another girl in town is hold vision of the male child and his predicament . They both start up to have visual modality of the bodies of the victims , and Hawke is crawling around in the backdrop , just being the creepiest . This film actually feel much more like something Focus would put out instead of general proper . It has an indie feel to it , and the trailer is utterly terrific . We only have to wait until January for this one .

7 New Pictures of Lady Spies Assembling in The 355

Next , we haveThe 355also out in January . This is another movie that had new footage tie with an existing drone that I have n’t watched in a while . The form with this one is utterly fantastic , so it needs a honorable handwriting and a good managing director behind the camera . The problem is the person behind the camera isSimon Kinberg , and he whiffed so hard onDark Phoenixhe nearly give himself a black centre . Maybe this one will be more his stop number , but we ’ll have to see in January . After that , Universal gave us a first look atMarry Me . This is a novel wild-eyed comedy feature All The Trope , but people who see these movies do n’t take care . Jennifer Lopezis our female lead who plays a pop virtuoso who was going to get married on stage at a concert . However , just as the show is about to commence , she finds out her partner is cheating . So she goes on stage and picks outOwen Wilsonat random in the bunch . Hijinks follow . This one looks kind of precious and is the first time Lopez has sung in a movie since Selena . depend for this one on Valentine ’s Day .

All right , Universal , what do you have next for me ? It turns out it ’s aMichael Baymovie , and that ’s all right . Ambulancefeatures two take over brothers who settle to rob a bank . A cop come in and kind of messes up the whole thing , so they must take him hostage . However , there is a scuffle , and the fuzz gets shot but survives . The cop is send in an ambulance which the two brothers eventually hijack to strain and escape . The cops ca n’t just take the ambulance out because they might pour down one of their own in the back . It ’s here ; it exists , but using the LAPD in a moving-picture show that was shot during the pandemic and thus during Black Lives Matter is an interesting matter to see . It ’s hard to tell how much if any Bay will glorify them , but it ’s Bay , he probably will , and that just is n’t a great look . Dreamworks share some very scratchy footage ofThe Bad Guysabout a gang of talking animate being who are , well , bad guy rope who decide to turn thing around and become good guys . The footage was n’t bad , but Dreamworks movies lean to be score or neglect these day . That one reportedly come in March .

Universal did another prolonged trailer forDear Evan Hansen , which is fit to be an interesting moving picture and not just because starBen Plattdoes not wait like a teenager at all . The point and the covert are very unlike and where these things fail be given to be when they flunk to take that into explanation . You do n’t see a drama the same direction you ascertain a motion-picture show , just in the sheer way that you do n’t have an consultation to interact with . So how this movie handles that is going to either make or break it . The music is good , the playacting will be safe , and it ’ll probably make people holler , so it ’s almost guaranteed to be at least dear . However , that adaptation and whether or not they apprehend it will be the matter that will either let this moving picture go up into greatness or simply staying just dear .

CinemaCon: Universal Drops 1st Look At Jurassic World: Dominion & More

Universal took a break to handle their Focus departure for the year , which is make its own article ; this thing is already too long , but they descend back to end the show out with some first - feel footage fromJurassic World : Dominion . It was new footage swallow up in a featurette with maybe 90 seconds of actual footage from the movie . They were all extremely brief glimpses , so it ’s hard to give any sorting of elaborated write - up . We date some dinosaurs on a snowy plane ; we run across Own chasing some down . We got some shots of the old mould in a couple of different locations , including in a cave that was very Indiana Jones - similar . DirectorColin Treverrowsaid this movie would shut the Jurassic story and enquire , and serve , the head ' what would happen if dinosaur were among us , would we be safe ? The answer is no . " There was truly too much proceed on to get into any real detail about this final look at the motion-picture show , but as a critic that did n’t likeFallen Kingdom ? I ’m apprehensive at best about this next outing .
