Jacob Bertrand’sEli " Hawk " Moskowitz is one of the greatest redemption stories in Netflix’sCobra Kai . As a common root inThe Karate Kidfranchise , Hawk found himself swagger with a desire to change , and thanks to the efforts of Johnny Lawrence ( William Zabka ) , he was able to recover a interpreter and strength through martial artistry . unluckily , it also developed unchecked overconfidence and a desire for retaliation on those who wronged him , becoming a savage roughneck at the cost of his well friend , Demetri Alexopoulos ( Gianni DeCenzo ) . As Hawk finally turn over a unexampled leaf , he bump his elbow room and sweep up Miyagi - Do Karate with Demetri becoming one of the top students of both dojos .
In season six , Hawk and Demetri see themselves back at betting odds when Demetri did n’t feel like Hawk was taking his future as earnestly as he was in college admissions trying to get into MIT . Bleeding Cool : In part three , Hawk and Demetri develop a VR simulator gadget to help oneself train Robby against Axel . What was it like to work that sequence with the author and Gianni , Tanner , Xolo , and Patrick [ Luwis ] ?
It was fun and cool to do that . have Patrick there on the day and take him do some of the stunts and him flip back and forth , the show was cool . Billy [ Zabka ] directed that episode , so it was a fun clip .
At the start of the series , Hawk went down the dark path and away from Demetri when embracing Cobra Kai , and you both sink the hatchet . Then come this time of year , when college admission drive the severance , and Demetri adopt his darker ego . What was it like acting at the other remainder of that ?
It did n’t feel good when we were doing all that stuff . I felt unsound , and I feel like my fictitious character live about all the college clobber in the wrong way . I know where Demetri can be galling , but I think Hawk went in a minuscule too hard in the way he decided to put across with his best friend . That ’s something where Hawk had his side of the street to scavenge up , and there were things he did wrong .
I hated feeling like I was in the wrong , even when Hawk proceed through a lot of his form of being the villain and it was n’t too intemperate for me to seek to apologize a fate of the military action I was doing . I was like , " This makes sense , like I ’m a little brainwashed by so - and - so . This is what I believe , but it was hard to endeavor to win over myself that I was right for a lot of these arguments with Demetri .
How did shoot that multicultural scrum at the end of Sekai Taikai at the end of season six , part two , compare to the other mostly choreographed fight in the other component part of the show ?
Man , there is no comparability because of how much bigger this fighting was . I mean , having that many citizenry in a huge skirmish like that changes everything . It ’s unlike anything we ’ve ever had to do . It attend like chaos on the screen . It feel like chaos on the 24-hour interval . It was still intense but fun to get to do . I entail , how often do you get to do something like that to that quality ? It was a cool computer storage to have .
All six seasons ofCobra Kai , which also starsRalph Macchio , Martin Kove , Courtney Henggeler , Mary Mouser , Peyton List , andThomas Ian Griffith , are available onNetflix .
