" In the wake of ' The Boys , ' I signed a deal with Amazon . They wanted to develop something with me in brain , so I had a few meeting with dissimilar writer and different sort of proceeds for show , " Ackles shared regarding how the series came to beduring a previous weekend fan event . " When I met Derek Haas , who create ' Countdown ' and has pen all 13 scripts , I just cluck with him right away . He and I actually grew up in the same town ; we went to neighboring high shoal , so we had a lot in uncouth right off the squash racket . But he ’s just a really not bad storyteller , and he comes from a long line of writing really kind of acute stuff . And so the character that he created , I just mat like I could tell that history in the world that he was also creating . That led to more meetings , and then that led to some outlines . I commence to understand the first book , and I just really like where it was going . I liked the kind of world that he was do it in , and I get unrestrained about it , " he added .
Along with being capable to connect with the showrunner , the show ’s universe , and his character , Ackles also revalue being in on the project at an early stage .
