" In the wake of ' The Boys , ' I contract a deal with Amazon . They wanted to develop something with me in mind , so I had a few meetings with unlike writers and different kinds of take for shows , " Ackles shared regarding how the series descend to beduring a weekend buff event . " When I encounter Derek Haas , who create ' Countdown ' and has written all 13 hand , I just clicked with him immediately . I was kind of – not call for creatively , but I was already on the train from the beginning in the post , so that was dainty . " As for what viewers can expect from Countdown ? " There are some twists and turns with this show ; there are some with child reveals , so to talk . So I ’m unrestrained for you guys . I ’m emotional to get it done – we ’re about halfway done with the time of year right now . I think they ’re shoot for June , probably – release next summertime , and I ’m activated to see what you guys think and to see it once it ’s on its foot . "
Prime Video ’s Countdown kicks off following a suspicious execution in wide daylight , which leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum ( Ackles ) being recruited to join a hugger-mugger job force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate .
