But that all cease on the day this nearly two - hundred - punt Saint Bernard realize the mistake of tail a cony into a hidden hole-and-corner cave , do off a tragic chemical chain of events . Now Cujo is no longer himself as he is slowly overcome by a growing sickness , one that consumes his judgment even as his once amiable thoughts sprain uncontrollably and inexorably to hatred and murder . On the lean of King stories that I would like to see get another shot at being made , this was low on the tilt . It was never one of my darling , and the original plastic film was n’t either . But I can see why Netflix chose it . It can be made on the punk , that is for sure , and anything with any form of familiar name will be at the top of the lean . Cujohas its fans , so hopefully , they get what they require out of this remake .
