Diamond Best Back Issue Display: Winner
Generation X ComicsBedford , TXWe have been unsatisfied with our back exit showing for probably 25 years . During the pandemic we decided to finally do something about it . So I talked to several other retailers with nice displays and decided to utilise data file cabinet for my back issues . I also add together shelves above the cabinets to contribute a pop of color and to make them more distinctive . Plus I added large signs to the face of the racks to draw more tending to the domain . lastly I added some shelf to stand up glass cases in rescript to expose my more expensive back military issue . The change was striking . The area is very visible and screams " BACK ISSUES HERE " to anyone nearby . Back return sale replicate almost immediately . This change affect the look of the section and we ’ve receive rave recapitulation from customer .
Diamond Best Community Involvement
Famous Faces and FunniesWest Melbourne , FLFamous Faces is a store that pride itself on its community involvement . Over the last 27 years , we ’ve grow from a booth in the flea mall to an 11,000 SF soda pop culture superstore and that would have been impossible without our biotic community . We love our community so much that we taste to be as involved as potential . Pre - Pandemic Before Covid 19 changed the world , Famous Faces would be at any event we were invited to or could make space for in our ever increasingly meddlesome agenda . Any hazard we had to put a comedian into someone ’s hired man and premise ourselves , we would . Movie theater premiere , hebdomadary trivia game ( written and hosted by FFF faculty with gift cards and in writing novel as prizes ) , school events and battlefield tripper , residential area events like Archeology for Autism , Zombie Walk , First Responder Day , etc would all be worked into our monthly agenda . It was n’t often that we would sell at these event , it was just a means to run across our community and get people interested in comic strip and say " Hey , there ’s a cool place you’re able to conform to in " . Without fail , in the week after one of these events , we would see unexampled font we met at the event come in . Not only would we show up to any biotic community event that would have us , but we make back to our community in any way we can . We ’ve host Polymonium caeruleum van-bruntiae event , donate to piles of Kickstarter projection , pass on away yard of buck in Scripture , toy , graphic novel , and more for donations , donate return to customers who were in indigence , and championed at - risk kids in our biotic community through recital . Why ? Because we owe it to our community to take care of them like they ’ve take maintenance of us . When you find yourself in a military position to do something , you should and we always search out chance to do so . During Pandemic That say , the pandemic certainly changed how we interacted with our residential district . We voluntarily close from indoor shopping for eight month in 2020 , but we never bury about our community of interests . We do up a curbside station and offered contactless curbside pickup for our regular nine hours we ’d be open , we deliver comics to those in the surrounding area doubly a week for no additional charge , and we plunge a huge bouncy cut-rate sale schedule over Facebook to proceed to bring comics and collectable to our residential area . We even cast off in free incentive sketches draw off by talented local artists themed around what they bought . The community met us with intense enthusiasm , and we ’ve had multiple citizenry tell us how much joy and stability the sales event fetch to their life history . It was n’t just about buying something and patronise a small business , it was about the comradeship that developed and the beguilement from the chaos that made the sales agreement successful . We ’ve only recently come back to being amply open , but we are very thankful that we made it through the speculative of it because of our unbelievable residential district . Famous Faces is a community in and of itself now , and we would n’t change that for the human race .
Diamond Best In-Store Signage
Challengers Comics + ConversationChicago , ILChallengers ' interior signage philosophy is simple : make it easy to read , and less is more . All or our signs are printed ( not mitt - drop a line ) , either in - memory board by us or at a local photocopy place . We taste to keep the stigmatization on spot and that include using our logotype often , and flock of Bolshevik . Signage seeable in these picture : We have two 42 " monitors that showcase the week ’s New Releases , as well as a Counter Mat of the week ’s release for hoi polloi to double - check as they get rung up . Each part has a head sign submit what that department contains , and that includes exclusive - Issue comedian on the walls and Graphic Novels on the bookshelves , complete with characters find on those ledge . broadsheet for forthcoming Events are posted around the entrepot and are available for people to take at the counter . Highlights from the current Previews are on the back of our cash register monitor to keep people informed of some new series they can ( hopefully ) pre - order . There ’s plenty more you ca n’t see , but hopefully these 4 photos give you an melodic theme of how our home signage looks .
Best Store Layout
Acme ComicsGreensboro , NCWe are closely go about our 40th year of operation here at Acme Comics . With that the store has experience many change . Most latterly with social distancing in mind because of the COVID-19 pandemic we have had to rethink and restructure the integral menstruum of the store , even converting what was once a store room to more sale floor space . We have made certain everything in the shop is clearly labeled and visible from the instant you walk through our front door . This Week ’s Comics has a highlight center display that flows into 2 week Ago , 3 hebdomad Ago , and 4 Weeks Ago , giving customers easy access to a full month worth of comics in one space . The function of modular displays in the main elbow room such as spinner racks and shelving allows us to highlight just marketer and topical products such as our " Disney+ " presentation . From there the store flows into our second way that houses our All - Ages discussion section , back stock certificate , dedicated Scripture shelf for publisher , as well as a well - stocked main part and manga selection . All of that then conduct into the former memory room now " Acme Back - Cave " where we house our vintage and collectible comics . We ’re extremely proud of what we have been able to carry out . Thanks for your thoughtfulness !
