Diamond Comic Distributors now in dialogue with Image Comics over further distribution … but this week is a washout

Yesterday , Bleeding Cool describe that as a result of Diamond Comic Distributorsannouncing they were entering Chapter 11 bankruptcy , Lunar Distribution , who have the exclusive dispersion rights to Image Comics deed of conveyance , told laughable book storage that Diamond will no longer be subdistributing Image titlesfrom Lunar to comic stores . Image Comics would print anything that was ordered by this calendar week ’s final slash - off escort of the 13th of January but would not lease them be undistributed by Diamond , only distributed through Lunar . So retailers would have to transfer those lodge to Lunar , who would honor them . And going forward , they could only order directly through Lunar . Now Diamond has e - mail retail merchant to reassert this turn of events from their perspective , state ;
" We have receive a copy of an e-mail sent to retail merchant stating that Image Comics has chosen not to fulfil Diamond Comic Distributors customer ' orders for Cartesian product with an FOC date of January 13 , 2025 . We will be meeting with Image to discuss this emergence , but will not be able to do so in meter to affect these products . We are honoring Image ’s request that we set off order for this calendar week ’s affect product ONLY . As to products with FOC particular date of January 20 and beyond , we will update you as soon as we have discussed the upshot with Image and have a closure . We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with our industry partners to denigrate hurly burly for our retail merchant customers . We will provide update as shortly as they are available . If you have additional questions regarding this selective information , please contact Diamond ’s Retailer Services Department . Thank you . "
Here are the affected Image Comics titles from last weekend ’s FOC .
How this will affect Diamond UK , which almost exclusively subdistribute Image Comics to British funny book of account stores , as well as Marvel , DC , Dark Horse , IDW , and the rest period , is still currently unknown . When Lunar try out now distributing DC Comics titles to UK storage from the US , the transportation cost was higher than the comical book being shipped .
