They spoke with a weird metre , and when they told Mulaney and Edgar Guest about his titles , they were so shocked and creep out that Mulaney could n’t await to hang up the call . That was disappointing – you had three of the funniest comedians sitting together in a talking show , and none of them managed to muster any comedy out of the unadulterated ridiculousness of what Chuck was telling them . As masters of advert - libs and improv , you would have thought Mulaney , O’Brien , or Edebiri could have milked the topic of dinosaur porno for some insane clowning for at least five mo . Alas , that was not to be , and Mulaney changed the content as shortly as potential . Oh well , maybe his and the guest ' utterly shocked expressions were the unintended comedy here , though Mulaney probably guess the phone segment of the episode were total duds and moved on .
