Announced as part of the roll back in March , Ritter ’s Billy Macon is the son ofGarret Dillahunt ’s William Macon and a good - looking beguiler who does his Church Father ’s dictation . Capitalizing on his folk ’s reputation , he cleave to his small - township ego and has everything to drop off .
During an interview withForbesthat went live in the beginning today , Ritter was asked for a production update – and it sound like things are go along middling nicely . " We ’ve shot four episodes so far , and we ’re about to bulge out shoot episodes three and four . We ’re doing it all a little out of order . The story is kind of jumping all around , but it ’s been so fun , and it ’s a really well - save , really fun show . I ’m just try out to fit into that world and maybe put a short fatuity in there . "

Hawes on How " Lanterns " Compares In Tone to " True Detective " : " peach flavour , it front and feels rooted . You meet two Guy , but there is humour and comedy to it that you would not expect in ' dependable Detective . ' It is , in many ways , a chum cop structure with travel in the news report time , to and fro , that is really sophisticated . Chris Mundy has done the most amazing Book of Job with the squad there , and so I think [ the ' True Detective ' comparison ] is valid . the great unwashed will still go , ' What were you talking about ? Hawes on Aaron Pierre Having a " Magnificent Presence " : " I frankly think he did it all individually in the way . With some chemical science casting and the like , it just feel like he would dwell the role . He has such a magnificent presence . He feels so forceful , so cool , so unostentatious . Again , I wanted this world to be root , and while there ’s only so far you’re able to go with settle characters in a show about Green Lantern , they are . This is a world where we accept that the Green Lanterns exist and aliens be . So the rest of it is play straight and in the world as we know it . "
Hawes on Working with DC Studios : " Well , I can only narrate you from my experience , which is that it has been inspiring and supportive and rightfully electrifying . I will know more in a few month ' fourth dimension , but justly now , [ Lanterns ] just felt like a literal flare-up of originative Energy Department .
