" THE END OF AN ERA!Mega City Comics was established in 1981 , and has been operate from our shop in Camden Town since 1987 . After 43 years ( and 37 years in the same shop class ) , Martin , the proprietor , is take retirement , and the shop class will be closing at the close of Jan 2025 . We had originally hoped to pass on the mantle to a novel owner , but a worthy candidate has unluckily , not been forthcoming ( although do read to the end!).It has been a joyous ride ( for Martin , all of his grownup sprightliness ) , and we have had some great staff and some capital client ( a crazy turn who have been here jolly much from the commencement , and stuck with us throughout ) . So it is a bitter angelical event to be end the doors . The mail - order / stand club inspection and repair will be winding up at the destruction of the yr , and concluding parcels will be going out no afterward than early Jan 25.We are not quite finished yet , and we will be going out with an cheerful BANG ! , so if you’re able to make it into the shop class over the next two months , there will be some once - in - a - lifespan hand to be had .
