Dark Horse Comics has cancelled future publication of Neil Gaiman ’s Anansi Boys amusing book , according to its writer Marc Bernadin .
Comic book author and producerMarc Bernardinhasposted on Blue Skyabout the time to come of the amusing book adjustment ofNeil Gaiman’sAnansi Boys . Bernadin adapted the seriesfromNeil Gaiman ’s original novel , drawn byShaun Martinborough , and published by Dark Horse Comics . It is one of a number of such titles from the publishing firm that have adapted some of Neil Gaiman ’s adult fantasy works , includingAmerican GodsandNorse Mythology .
The last page ofAnansi Boys#7 publicize a fresh issuance # 8 for February , but this will no longer be published . In late months , Tortoise Media , NY Magazine , andVulturehave reported detailedallegations of abuse by a routine of women against Gaiman . Gaiman hasdenied anything non - consensual .
Bernadin wrotewith the accompanying visual from above , " Last week , Anansi Boys 7 polish off stands . It will be the last issue . Dark Horse will not release a trade . But all of that pales . Anansi Boys is about two brothers , twins . One is meek , timid , like a flopsy , plant - upon pup . They seem so different , but they are very much flip side of meat of the same coin . Literally . I never gave too much thought about that . Until now . My affectionateness break for the survivors and any pain see these books on the shelves might have caused . "
Other cancelled project include blind adaptationsDead Boy Detectives , andThe Graveyard Book , while there is to be a truncated variant ofGood Omens Season Threewithout Gaiman ’s involution .
UPDATE : A few hour after Bleeding Cool ’s clause , Dark Horse Comics supply the following:“Dark Horse takes seriously the allegations against Neil Gaiman and we are no longer publish his work . Confirming that the Anansi Boys comic series and collected mass have been cancelled . "
