Set for May 20th , Bosch writer Michael Connelly unveiled the US / Canada and Australia / New Zealand cover art for his new novel , Nightshade .
Bosch creatorMichael Connellyis introducing a young detective hero unrelentingly following his mission in the apparently idyllic setting of Catalina Island . Connelly had mentioned that he visit Catalina Island just off the coast of Los Angeles and come down in love with the region , and began to mould a new cop character operating there . The dispute between him and Harry Bosch or Renée Ballard is that he is in a stable , glad kinship but will still have the same types of difference of opinion and political problems Connelly ’s other heroes do . The new bookNightshadeis out on May 20th , and Connelly just unveiled the screening art for the US / Canadian edition ( on the left wing ) and Australia / New Zealand edition ( on the right hand ):
A New Cop Hero in the Same World as Bosch
InNightshade , Los Angeles County Sheriff ’s Detective Stilwell has been " exiled " to a low - key post - policing rustic Catalina Island after section politics drive him off a homicide desk on the mainland . But while following up the usual rummy - and - disorderlies and petty thefts that come with his new district , Detective Stilwell gets a story of a body rule wrapped in charge plate and weigh down at the bottom of the harbor . It ’s dependable to assume that while this is a Modern standalone book and potential series , Stillwell lives in the same humanity that Harry Bosch and Renée Ballard maneuver in .
