Set to zephyr April 18th , the finale of MTV ’s RuPaul ’s Drag Race Season 17 will feature an appearance by the icon herself , Liza Minnelli .
Hey RuPaul , it ’s Liza , with a z ! Joining theRuPaul ’s Drag RaceHall of Fame isLiza Minnelli , the newest " Giving Us Lifetime Achievement " Award receiver . Liza joins prior honoreesBob MackieandCassandra Peterson(aka Elvira ) . The award is a play on the Lifetime Achievement award at the Oscars and similar awards shows , but onRuPaul ’s Drag Race , it celebrates masses who have made a cultural shock on the world of drag and the LGBTQ biotic community .
The season 17 finale was film last calendar month but will air on April 18 to cap off the time of year . The issue photo points to a master stage finale this time of year , as opposed to a live tap show in a theater or other locale .
