Last week ’s round of MTV ’s RuPaul ’s Drag Race attend our queens compete in the " Villains knock , " serving comedy and manner looks on the runway .
RuPaul ’s Drag Racegets mussy this workweek – go away it to the roast installment to deliver on the play , especially when hosting and telling jape have so many of these queen dead terrified . As for the actual comedy joint portion of the week , the poof had to roastMistress Isabelle Brooks , Kandy Muse , andPlane Janein theRuPaul ’s Drag RaceVillains Roast . Since Jewels advance last week ’s challenge , she got to assign the parliamentary procedure and mammy , never have I see more roast drama sinceLaganja’sseason 6 post - roast burst inUntucked .
The top of the week were alright , nobody really hit it out of the park , but there just is n’t aBianca Del Riothis season where it was obvious who does this two record a dark and is honorable at it . disregardless , Sam Starwas cheeky in her southerly belle direction , Lana Ja’Raesurprised everyone and was really amusing , andLydia Butthole Kollinsended up winning the week .

There ’s something to be said for the feud between Arrietty and Jewels getting in the direction of at least secure carrying into action from one or both of them , but it would look that Arrietty sunk them both with her constant accusations of Jewels sabotaging her with the order and not trust in her clowning potential ( after she herself said she ’s proceed to do bad and this is not her affair ) .
Onya NurveandSuzie Tootare the only two safe queens and I live for the " Toot and Nurve Power Hour " inUntuckedthis week . hollo out to Suzie ’s runway – she deliveredKing Henry VIIIRenaissance reality with the petty short pantaloons that have " Fruity " dramatise on the rear , serve 1500s Juicy Couture realism . That look gain the week for me , and I will be call up about it on a weekly base from here on out .
As far as facial expression go , the track category was " who wears short shorts , " and Sam ’s " Taylor SwiftandTravis Kelceall in one " football drag look was excellent , as was Onya ’s " Daisy Dukes endure as a top-notch wedgie bodysuit " feel . The only interpretation of the " short shortstop " rails I felt was neglect is something with a full bush and/or hairy legs . The runway were great , but nobody really took it in a campy clowning way – give the queens a budget , and they all just want to go to the red carpet designers and have some nightie or something gorgeous made ( except for Lana this week , whoseNaomi Campbellhomage was called out byMichelle Visagefor essentially wearingShienand a throw blanket on the rail ) . Lydia ’s was close to it , but her look did not match the theme , and it was physically disgust , but not so much in a fashionable way .
It feels like , for the most part , the queens onRuPaul ’s Drag Racelately ( and really , this problem extend to a lot of other show – look at you , SNL ) are too afraid to be stupid and just plain dumb , mostly because of the net and bequest . You have a global platform and want to acquaint your in force , back in the 1970s or 80s or even 2006 , nobody really overthought it , they just read " oh yeah , this get me laugh , why not " and sometimes it hit , sometimes it did n’t , and sometimes it required an apology go .
The large point is , be on the internet less and really have an public opinion that ’s not focus - aggroup for maximal monetization and content clickbait – just do make because it makes you giggle , not because the web thinks it will do numbers on TikTok . Lydia win the week , of course the judges love them some butthole , but something smells rigged , because Arrietty is lip synchronise against Jewels this calendar week , and I ’m a lilliputian annoyed . She was n’t that sorry , but after the whole plot line with sabotage allegation and joke stealing , of track , the producers had to make certain if this was an choice that we get that lip sync battle .
I ’m so happy Jewels win and commit Arrietty plate for existent this meter , she was angle for a villain edit of her own and just got plain mean in the last few episodes . adept riddance to an wretched queen , inwardly and out . Next week is a scripted acting challenge , where the queens are tasked with starring in a " in high spirits summer camp tale of betrayal " shout " Ross Mathews vs The Ducks . "
