IDW Publishing is joining Dark Horse , Image Comics , Oni Press and the CBLDF in setting up in Portland , Oregon .
IDW PDX will be a satellite authority though with the main offices stay in San Diego .
While the company ’s master base of operations will remain in San Diego , IDW is formally branching out , lay down a beachhead for its new phase of ontogenesis , headed up by IDW ’s VP of Marketing , Dirk Wood .
Wood will serve as Creative Director for Woodworks , a steel new embossment of IDW to be run out of the Portland office . woodwork will consist primarily of a new line of books , cast anchor by a high - end , curated mag , featuring contributions by , and conversation with , the most gifted and diverse God Almighty in the industry . While the elemental centering will be comics , it will also have a dash of general amusement and culture features ; movie , TV , art , music , story , and more . Further details will be unveiled in the coming weeks as this bud line continues to develop .
