SNL time of year 50 heads into its April gaolbreak with a show boosted by melodic guest Lizzo , an amazing Trump / The White Lotus mashup , and more .

Please Do n’t Destroy ( Ben Marshall , John Higgins , andMartin Herlihy ) prove once again that they can plow any conniption – even a police precinct that ’s on the clock with a " Missing Person " shell – into absurdist comedy greatness . And in this case , all it convey was fervor over pizza pie . The highest compliment we can give the " Medication Ad " sketch is that we ’re no longer look at drug ads the same way we used to – and yes , you could opine the wellness crisis free-base on the level of terpsichore , vocalizing , and long walk that the advertizement has ( it ’s scary accurate ) .
But the bear - out survey of the dark – one of the best sketch of the time of year , and one that should be submitted for Emmy consideration – was " The White POTUS , " SNL ’s mashup of the Trump family unit and his governance and the hit HBO seriesThe White Lotus . SNL has n’t dulled its satiric knife , even after Trump hark back to office – in fact , we could reason that its fix tart over the past few calendar week . But this resume cut intemperately and cut deep in ways we have n’t envision in some sentence . In this reality , Johnson ’s Trump is Timothy Ratliff – withChloe Fineman ’s Melania as Victoria Ratliff , Day ’s Donald Trump Jr. as Saxon Ratliff , and the returningAlex Moffat’sEric Trumpas Lochlan Ratliff – with Trump trying to decide whether to shoot down himself , his family , or both over how his tariffs are wreck the economy . Instead , he chooses to shoot Uncle Sam .
Meanwhile , Hamm ’s crazed Robert F. Kennedy , Jr. was Rick – alongsideSarah ShermanasAimee Lou Wood ’s Chelsea ( though the physical impression felt a footling " punching down " ) , jabber about morbilli and more . Lizzo ’s Belinda dropped a peachy joke about how her $ 5 million from Gary / Greg ( Jon Gries ) used to be $ 20 million – not surprising when we learn that it ’s Gary / Greg who ’s been advising Trump on the duty – under the name " Howard Lutnick . " We hadScarlett Johanssonas Ivanka Trump , withHeidi Gardner ’s Kristi Noem , Ashley Padilla ’s Pam Bondi , Marcello Hernandez ’s Marco Rubio , and a very swarthy Vladimir Putin ( play by the returningBeck Bennett ) also at the resort – and evenKenan Thompson ’s Tiger Woods throw an appearance during a very " intimate"moment .
