Next weekend ’s Jack Black - hosted edition of SNL would be the everlasting time for Black and Kyle Gass to reunify for a long cholecalciferol return .
NBC’sSaturday Night Livereturns tonight , but we ’re actually concerned innextweekend ’s instalment . Joined by melodic guestsElton John&Brandi Carlile , Jack Black(Minecraft ) is place to take the SNL phase as boniface . Just so one has the faulty script , we want to make it clear that simply having Black as host is enough to get us excited because his muscularity lean to elevate everyone around him . But with this being SNL ’s milestone 50th season , we ’re go to be check in with our fingers , toes , and various other body parts intersect that we get another memorable anniversary . That ’s right , an official public reunification of Jack Black andKyle Gass … otherwise known as " The Greatest Rock Duo to Ever Rock The Planet " … otherwise know as " The D " … otherwise know as Tenacious D. They say that sentence heals all wounds – and what better venue to allow folks know that " The D " is palpate just hunky-dory , thank you very much !
In a nutshell , here ’s what go down . Back in July 2024 , Gass ' birthday was being celebrated on - stage during their performance at Australia ’s ICC Sydney Theater . At one point , Gass was asked to make a wish before blowing out the candela on his natal day cake . " Do n’t overleap Trump next clip , " was Gass ' response , referring to the blackwash attempt made onDonald Trumponly a day or so in the first place . Well , it did n’t take long for news show ( and footage ) of the moment to hit social media and start making headlines . Black would take to social medium to make the case that he was " blindside " by what Gass said and that he did n’t endorse hate speech or wildness " in any chassis " :

In addition , Black would announce that the human beings tour was on hold and that " originative plans are on hold " for Tenacious D. For his part , Gass would post an apology on social media , noting that when he said was " highly inappropriate , dangerous and a terrible mistake " and that he was n’t see to condone violence " of any sort , in any signifier , against anyone – though he would later blue-pencil his apologia . During the August 2024 premiere of Borderlands , Blackoffered some hopethat " The calciferol " would be back : " We involve to take a break . Everybody needs a break sometime , and we ’ll be back . " On a personal level , Black and Gass have still maintained their friendly relationship , with Black adding , " Yeah , we ’re Friend . That has n’t changed . These things take time sometimes … And we ’ll be back when it finger correct . " I would think that live from New York … on a Saturday night … with million watch … would be a great time for thing to feel right .
