But at Alamo Comic Con , this retiring weekend , one of his friends saw artistBill Williamsselling this .

I contacted Dan Jurgens who told me ,

When you take another artist ’s work and pass it off as your own , particularly while try out to make money off it , you are a cab . A accomplished and total hack . You ’re trying to benefit off another somebody ’s piece of work , which makes you something of a thief .

By doing so publically , you have perpetually label yourself as such .

Bill Williams , hack and thief .

In reply , Bill Williams told me ,

" He ’s mightily of row .

I offer a lowly and dependable apology for inking that Batman image . When someone asked about the draftsmanship , I stated that I had inked a Dan Jurgens image . That info was not write on the Thomas Nelson Page . That was one of the many error I made that will not be repeated .

The page has been destroyed . And I think I ’m done with convention for a while . "

It ’s rarefied that you get such a reception , and that is to his quotation . The dubiousness here might be , is inking a copy of pencil without the permission of the penciller and selling it – however you accredit it – might well be problematical .
