Angoulême Day One – Thursday 30/01/25
" spend most of the day move between the Espace Création Nouvelle where we were pitch a new project to Publishers and the independent part of the Festival , which was in the centre of town . Which is at the top of a steep hill . There are three ways to go from one section to the other . Free Festival Bus , walk around and spiral up , or flat up the hill . Just for the hell of it , we resolve on the third option . get hold of the bus the other clip . The Alfred Hawthorne is nice to walk down . Not so much the other direction … "
" The other section that get most of our care was the International Rights Market ( Marché des Droits ) . This is where most of the publisher serve the Festival look into publishing , or getting published , their books into various speech communication . A lot more of a relaxed space , with a intro area and a little reception domain where the various Publishers and Creators can have a drink and a bit of a schmooze . Then , after having a another quick face at the two areas after our second meeting , it was time to call it a mean solar day , and head out into the town for some food and drinks . "
