We are fundamentally on our own , as I am sure many other pocket-size press publishers . Will we survive ? Yes . AP will hold up but it may be changed . Our method of statistical distribution will change . Our product line and editorial content will change . What that change will be remains to be seen , but I believe we will know in a few months where we will be . Will someone pluck up the billy club ? Perhaps . Will retailers like ? I trust so . The thing is , if comic stores disappear or break off carrying small wardrobe comics , the indie small publisher will have a greatly belittle presence to the world . Will it be the end ? Well , not really , as we have various novel ways to make money , but our reach will no longer be as influential . No tangible chance for a new modest indie to separate out and work up an interview . right on now the diligence is rely on nostalgia . Oh , there will be a success here and there , but not nearly as much as it could be . I lament how the comics manufacture has ego - destructed . I long had advocated to re - think the distribution example , but it fell on deaf ear , with many saying that it is outdated or impossible to follow up . Well , here we are . Looking into the abysm . Had we just make a minute to look to the future rather of line our own pouch or indulge in personal drama , we might have had a healthy , thrive industry .
